Spring Service

Get Your Pool Ready for Summer the Right Way

A pool opening is more than pulling off a cover and filling up the water. Our crew inspects every piece of equipment, tests and balances the water chemistry, cleans the pool surface, and makes sure everything is running before we leave your property. If something needs attention, you know about it that day.

Pool openings on Long Island start in April and run through late May. The earlier you book, the better your chances of getting the date you want. We open hundreds of pools every spring across Bay Shore, West Islip, Babylon, Lindenhurst, Deer Park, Brentwood, Islip, and the surrounding towns. Our guys know what Long Island winters do to pools and they come prepared for whatever they find under that cover.

Why It Matters

What a Bad Pool Opening Costs You

A rushed opening or a DIY job that misses something creates problems that snowball through the entire summer. A plumbing line that was not fully blown out in the fall can crack over winter. If nobody catches it in April, you are dealing with a leak repair in June when you should be swimming.

Equipment that sits idle for six months needs more than a flip of the switch. Pump seals dry out. Filter cartridges compact. Heater ignitors corrode. Our techs test every component during the opening so you are not calling for an emergency pool repair the first week of swim season.

Water chemistry matters too. Pool water that sits unbalanced eats at your liner, stains the walls, and turns green faster than you would think. Getting the numbers right on day one saves you time, money, and a whole lot of frustration.

Our Process

How a Majestic Pool Opening Works

Three phases, one visit. We show up prepared and leave your pool running.

1

Remove and Inspect

We pull the winter cover or safety cover, fold it for storage, and remove all winterizing plugs. While the cover comes off, we inspect the pool surface, waterline, and fittings for any damage from the winter months.

2

Reconnect and Start Up

All equipment gets reconnected. The pump, filter, heater, and chlorinator are hooked back up, primed, and started. We check for leaks at every connection point, verify filter pressure, and confirm the heater fires. If something is not right, we tell you on the spot.

3

Clean, Balance, and Report

We skim the surface, brush the walls, and remove any debris that settled over winter. Water chemistry gets tested and balanced. You get a full condition report covering every piece of equipment and the state of your water. No surprises later.

We have been opening pools across Nassau and Suffolk County since the late 1990s. There is not a pool setup, equipment brand, or winter surprise we have not seen before.

Book Early, Get Your Date

Our spring calendar fills up fast. Clients who book in February and March get their pick of opening dates. We confirm your appointment and show up when we say we will.

Full Condition Report

Every opening comes with a written report on your equipment condition, water chemistry, and anything that needs attention. No guessing, no wondering what was done.

Timing

When to Schedule Your Pool Opening

Most Long Island pools open between late April and mid-May. The exact timing depends on when nighttime temperatures stay consistently above 50 degrees. Open too early and you are heating water nobody is swimming in. Open too late and you are fighting algae that got a head start in warm standing water.

Memorial Day weekend is the most popular target date on Long Island. Our schedule fills up weeks before that, so the best move is to call in February or March. We will lock in your date and send a reminder when opening week arrives.

Year-Round Care

Bundle Your Opening with Seasonal Service

A lot of our pool opening clients also use us for weekly maintenance through the summer and pool closing in the fall. The same crew that opens your pool is the same crew taking care of it all season long.

That continuity matters. Your tech already knows your equipment, your water tendencies, and your pool's quirks from the opening visit. There is no starting over with a stranger every few months. One company, one crew, opening to closing.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a pool opening cost on Long Island?
Pool opening pricing depends on pool size, equipment complexity, and the condition of your pool after winter. Most of our clients in Nassau and Suffolk County pay between $275 and $475 for a full opening. Call us or fill out the form above and we will give you a number specific to your pool.
How early should I schedule my pool opening?
As early as possible. We start booking openings in February and the spring calendar fills fast, especially the weeks around Memorial Day. Calling in February or March gives you the best shot at getting your preferred date. Waiting until April means you are working around whatever slots are left.
Will my pool be ready to swim in the same day you open it?
It depends on the condition of the water. If the pool was closed properly and the winter cover held up well, many pools are swimable within 24 to 48 hours after opening once the chemicals circulate and the water clears. Pools that sat with a damaged cover or had water issues may take a few extra days of filtration and treatment.
Do I need to be home during the pool opening?
No. As long as we have access to the pool, equipment area, and a water source to fill the pool, we handle everything. We leave a written condition report so you know exactly what was done, what the water readings look like, and whether anything needs follow-up.
What if you find a problem during the opening?
We tell you that day. If it is something small like a worn gasket or a cracked skimmer basket, we can usually handle it on the spot. For bigger issues like a pump motor failure, a cracked plumbing line, or liner damage, we document it in your condition report and schedule the repair separately so your opening does not get delayed.
